There are only 2 types of  jades: nephrite and jadeite. All other "jades" are fake jades or jade simulants.

9 out of 10 "jade eggs" on the market are fake jade eggs made  of translucent marble stones. Some merchants market these fake jades as "helu jade", "new jade", "xiuyan jade", "water jade" or just "jade eggs" without mentioning stone type. If a seller only says "jade egg" without clearly identifying wether the jade is nephrite jade or jadeite jade, 99% the so-called "jade eggs" are FAKE.  if the stones are not nephrite or jadeite, they are NOT jades, but jade simulants.
